Todd joins the Office of General Counsel (OGC) as a legal professional with over 25 years of law firm, litigation, nonprofit, intellectual property, contracts, compliance, corporate governance, and general legal department experience. Todd's work with the OGC is primarily focused on management, research and continuing support of UNI's immigration and litigation matters.
Todd also works with the Office of University Relations as UNI’s Public Records Officer. In this capacity, Todd works closely with the Iowa Board of Regents to monitor, manage, and respond to UNI's public records requests and to ensure compliance with legal requirements governing the examination of records under Chapter 22 of the Code of Iowa.
Todd graduated with honors from the University of Northern Iowa. Prior to arriving at UNI, Todd worked for many well-known law firms and corporate entities, such as Merchant & Gould (Minneapolis), Nyemaster (Des Moines), Dorsey & Whitney (Des Moines), Steptoe & Johnson (Phoenix), Blue Yonder (Scottsdale), Envestnet (Chicago), PetSmart and PetSmart Charities (Phoenix).
Todd was born and raised in Cedar Falls and has the unique experience of attending UNI from kindergarten through college graduation. Todd has supported multiple charitable endeavors over the years, which includes sitting on the Board of Directors of a local Cedar Falls nonprofit, volunteering for animal rescue organizations and pet adoption events, and mentoring for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
